EVERY PHOTO · EVERY VIDEO · SEARCHED BY HOW YOU REMEMBER IT
Solvenar reads your whole library the way a librarian reads a collection — then finds anything by how you remember it, not by a filename.
100% ON YOUR MAC · WORKS OFFLINE AFTER SETUP
Fuzzy photo search is table stakes now. Solvenar understands the way you actually remember a shot — the language you think in, and the glass you shot it with.
Type the query the way it comes to you. One multilingual librarian understands them all — on your Mac, with no translation step and no cloud call.
Focal length, aperture, ISO, shutter, time of day — say it in plain words and Solvenar filters on the metadata your camera already wrote.
Point Solvenar at the folders you already have — the tidy ones and the "Camera Uploads" one. It catalogues in place and keeps watching for new files. Your originals never move, never get renamed, never get locked into a library format.
Delete Solvenar tomorrow and your files are exactly where you left them.
Solvenar learns the people in your library, so "June at the lake" just works. Everything it learns about a face stays on your Mac — no cloud face database, no account required.
It's optional, too. Skip it during setup and Solvenar never looks at a face.

Search "the moment she blows out the candles" and Solvenar lands on the exact scene inside a twelve-minute clip. Every match carries an orange timestamp — one click and you're there.
No scrubbing. No renaming clips MOV_4213_birthday_GOOD_v2.mov ever again.
Select the shots, export a project file, open it in Final Cut, Premiere, or Resolve. Solvenar understands RAW+JPG pairs, camera metadata, and scene timestamps — so the boring half of the edit is already done.
Or copy selects to a folder, pairs intact, and hand it off.
Solvenar touches the internet exactly once — at setup, to fetch what it needs and activate your license. After that, unplug the router and everything still works. Your photos never leave your Mac, because there's nowhere for them to go: no server, no account, no cloud.
Everything runs on your Mac — every tier, no cloud, no subscription. Each license includes a year of updates; keep searching forever either way. Early-bird prices while Solvenar is new — they won't last.
The first read-through happens once, entirely on your Mac — and a lifetime of photos is a lot of reading. What it takes depends on three things: whether your Mac has a fan, the level of your Apple Silicon chip (Base, Pro, Max, Ultra), and how big the library is.
Yes — but on the first read Solvenar has to ask iCloud for each original, and that download can dominate the schedule. Expect the slow end of your band above, and keep enough free disk for the originals it's reading.
Solvenar runs modern vision models locally, and it leans on the unified memory of Apple's M-series chips to do it. Intel Macs aren't slow with Solvenar — they're unsupported. If your Mac's chip has an M in its name, you're good.
